Blind Plugs

A blind plug is a solid plug with the same metric or PG thread as the gland, which closes unused threaded cable entry holes in enclosures, junction boxes and device housings. It is used to close ready-made entries with no cable run, holes left empty by removed glands and spare enclosure entries against dust, water and contact. This group offers polyamide and nickel-plated brass blind plugs in two subcategories; the polyamide models include Ortaç, Gwest and Isıso, and the nickel-plated brass models include Ortaç products. Sizes are in metric threads such as M 12, M 20 and M 32 and PG threads such as PG 9, PG 16 and PG 29, and the polyamide models are listed in gray and black. Choose a blind plug by the thread type and size of the hole to be closed, by a housing material compatible with the enclosure or gland material, and by the IP rating and ambient temperature of the enclosure. Since the weakest entry determines the degree of protection of the enclosure, a single open hole lowers the IP value of the whole enclosure. The blind plugs on this page are made for electrical gland threads and do not fit plumbing pipe threads.
