Standard Heat-Shrink Sleeves

A standard heat-shrink sleeve is a thin-wall polyolefin insulating covering with no adhesive inside, which mostly shrinks at a 2:1 ratio when heated. It is used in panel and machine wiring to insulate lug necks and solder points and to mark conductors with phase colors. In this category, Woer and Isıso sleeves in nominal sizes such as 4.8 mm, 6.4 mm, 16 mm and 20 mm are available in colors such as black, white, yellow-green, red and blue, and Gwest GWBT busbar insulation sleeves in sizes such as 25/10 mm and 100/40 mm. Choose the sleeve so that the inner diameter before shrinking passes comfortably over the piece, the shrunk diameter wraps tightly around the conductor, and according to operating temperature, voltage rating and color. For products with listed technical values, the material is polyolefin and the operating temperature is -55 to +125 °C; the voltage is given as 600 V for Woer sleeves and 36 kV for Gwest busbar insulation sleeves. The standard type does not make a waterproof seal; for splices exposed to moisture it does not replace an adhesive-lined heat-shrink sleeve.

  • Clarify whether the task is connection, cable routing, enclosure distribution or termination.
  • Match dimensions, thread standard, conductor cross-section and IP rating with the cable and panel.
  • Choose housing material and pack quantity according to the mounting environment.
