Slit Polyamide Spiral Conduits
A slit polyamide spiral conduit is a flexible, corrugated polyamide cable protection conduit whose body is slit along its whole length, so cables can be placed inside from the side without removing their ends. In machine-mounted cabling, in cable bundles and in places where protection must be added later to existing lines, it holds the conductors together and protects them against friction and impact. In this category, Ortaç's gray OGPAY and black OSPAY series are available in inner diameters such as 10 mm, 12 mm, 14.2 mm, 16.5 mm and 23.5 mm; the conduits are listed by the meter, and the coil length of 100 meters, 50 meters or 25 meters is stated in the product name. The number in the product name, such as 7, 11, 16 or 21, is the nominal size of the conduit; the inner and outer diameter are given separately in the product features. Choose the inner diameter by the total diameter of the cable bundle, the outer diameter by the size of the clip or fitting the conduit will be fitted to, and the color and coil length by the application. Because its body stays open along the slit, a slit conduit is not closed against dust and liquid; it does not replace unslit polyamide spiral conduit on lines where sealing with a fitting is wanted.
