Fuse Boxes
A fuse box is a covered flush-mounted or surface-mounted distribution box in which DIN rail-mounted modular devices such as miniature circuit breakers and residual current devices are placed. It is used in homes, offices and shops to gather the protection of lighting and socket circuits at a single point, and is also called a household fuse panel. This category lists Viko-branded halogen-free flush-mounted and surface-mounted boxes in module capacities such as 4, 8, 12, 18, 24 and 36, together with sealed single and 3-4 models; TP Elektrik breaker boxes are offered in IP 30 and IP 42 protection ratings. A module is the width of a single-pole miniature circuit breaker on the rail; a three-pole breaker takes up three modules and a four-pole residual current device four. A fuse box is only an enclosure and is not a protective device on its own; the breakers and residual current device to be installed in it are purchased separately.
