The UNI-T UT345A is an ultrasonic thickness gauge used to check the thickness of metal and other materials suitable for ultrasonic measurement. Designed for monitoring corrosion-related thinning in pipes and pressure vessels and for checking the thickness of plates and machined parts. Offers a 1.00–300.00 mm measuring range. Sound velocity can be adjusted between 1000–9999 m/s depending on the material; single or continuous measurement is possible. For an accurate result, the speed of sound in the material and the measurement conditions must be taken into account. The lower limit stated for the steel pipe is Ø20 mm diameter and 3 mm wall thickness. 300-record memory; stores maximum, minimum and average values in addition to the material, speed of sound, unit and measured value. Automatic calibration and audible alarm make repeated checks easier. Results are displayed in mm or inches on the 2.4 inch LCD screen. The built-in 3.7 V 2000 mAh lithium battery provides about 16 hours of operation on a full charge. Charges via the Type-C connection at 5 V / 1 A. The standard accessories are a probe and a Type-C charging cable. When selecting UT345A, consider the material type, part geometry and required thickness range together.
