Unit UT377B is a pin-type moisture meter with an LCD and ambient temperature compensation that measures moisture content of 7.0% – 54.8% in wood and 0.0% – 22.1% in building materials. Wood moisture accuracy is ±1% and building material moisture accuracy is ±0.5%; the ambient temperature correction range is -5 °C – +50 °C and the refresh rate is 0.5 s. 7 modes are selectable for wood species and building materials, and readings are backed by a buzzer and an analog bar alarm. It provides MAX/MIN, data hold, a high moisture alarm, an LED flashlight, a self-test mode and auto power off after 5 min. It is used for quick moisture checks in wood, plywood, furniture and decoration work and building materials, and for monitoring wood drying. It runs on 2 × AAA batteries, withstands 2 m drops and weighs about 140 g.
