How to choose Grounded Wall Sockets

A grounded wall socket is a 2P+E power socket mounted in a wall box, with an earthing contact connected to the protective conductor of the installation in addition to the phase and neutral contacts. It is used in homes and workplaces to supply plug-in devices such as white goods, computers and hand tools; the earthing contact lets the current that reaches the device housing in case of an insulation fault flow through the protective conductor.
