Night Lights
Night lights are small lighting products that give low light, enough to find your way in the dark, and can be left on throughout the night. They are used in places such as children's rooms, bedrooms, corridors and stair landings to provide safe passage without turning on the main light. This category includes a Cata brand night light with a photocell; it operates on 220 V mains voltage, gives 30 lm of luminous flux and has an IP20 protection rating. Choose the night light by operating voltage, luminous flux, whether it has a photocell, its dimensions and an IP rating suited to the environment where it will be used. Models with a photocell turn on automatically when the surroundings get dark and turn off when the surroundings get light, so there is no need to switch them on and off every evening. A photocell does not detect motion; if the light should turn on only when someone passes, look at products with a motion sensor. Because the IP20 rating gives no protection against water, this type of product is for dry indoor spaces. A night light provides only wayfinding light and does not replace a table lamp used for reading or work.
