Mounting Boxes
A mounting box is a protective enclosure that surrounds a manual motor protection switch so that it can be mounted on a wall or a machine outside a panel. It is used in workshops without enclosed panels and on the sides of machines exposed to dust or water splashing. Choose the box according to the switch model, and check whether a stop button is needed and the dimensions. Chint NS2X series boxes have an IP55 protection rating; the NS2-MC is white, the NS2-MC01 is white with a stop button, and the WPB-1 comes in yellow-red and black-gray. Compatible switches are given as NS2-25X, NS2-80 and NS2-80B. Dimensions vary, with 92.2 x 147.6 x 93.8 mm, 123 mm and 152.3 mm depth options. The model with a stop button makes it possible to stop the motor from the box. The IP55 rating limits dust ingress and protects against water spray from every direction. A mounting box is not the motor protection switch itself; the switch is needed separately, and the box suits only the stated NS2 switch models.

- Select rated current, pole count and breaking capacity (kA) from the installation calculation.
- Match coil voltage, auxiliary contacts and tripping curve to the control circuit and load type.
