Temperature Probes
A temperature probe is a sensor that converts the temperature of the measuring point into an electrical signal with a thermocouple, PT100, NTC or PTC sensing element at its end and passes this signal to a thermostat, indicator or PLC. It is used to measure process temperature in plastic injection and extrusion machines, industrial ovens, boilers and tanks, cooling cabinets and heating installations. Isıso, Enda and GEMO probes are divided by housing and sensor type into subgroups such as bayonet type, head type and screw-in type probes, and NTC and PTC probes; this page also lists Isıso mineral-insulated (sheathed) probes in 1 mm, 1.5 mm, 2 mm and 3 mm diameters. Select the probe first by the element type that matches the sensor input of your device (J, K, PT100, NTC or PTC), then by the temperature range to be measured, mounting style, diameter and immersion length, and cable length. In product names, Fe-Const refers to a type J and NiCr-Ni to a type K thermocouple. If the thermocouple line is to be extended, compensating cable of the same type and thermocouple plugs and sockets are used.
