Portable Power Stations
Portable power stations are rechargeable energy sources that deliver the energy stored in their internal battery through an inverter to an AC socket, as well as to USB and DC outputs. They are used when camping, caravanning, boating, at construction sites and during power outages to run laptops, modems, lighting, hand tools and small household appliances without the mains. This category includes lithium-ion models with capacities of 332 Wh, 517 Wh and 738 Wh from the Schneider Electric OffGrid series and Cata models with output powers of 300 W and 2500 W; types with AC socket, USB, Type-C and DC outputs are included. Choose the station by an output power (W) that covers the total power of the devices you will run at the same time, the battery capacity (Wh) that determines runtime, output types, weight and charging methods. Dividing capacity (Wh) by load power (W) gives the approximate runtime in hours; because of inverter losses, the actual time will be below this value. A power station does not generate energy; it only gives back what it has stored, and it does not replace a fuel-powered generator for long-term supply.
