Unit UT515B is a digital high-voltage insulation resistance tester with DAR and PI functions that measures up to 10 TΩ at 500 V, 1000 V, 2500 V, 5000 V and 10000 V test voltages. The voltage can be fine-tuned in 10% steps on every range (for example 400 – 600 V on the 500 V range and 5000 – 10000 V on the 10000 V range). The 500 V range covers 0.50 MΩ – 500 GΩ and the 10000 V range covers 10.0 MΩ – 10 TΩ; accuracy ranges from ±(5%+5) to ±(15%+20). Leakage current is measured from 0.01 nA to 5.00 mA at ±(10%+5), DAR and PI over 0.00 – 999 at ±2 digits, and voltage measurement covers DC ±30 V – ±1000 V and AC 30 V – 750 V. The display count is 9999, and a dual display shows IR and current together. It is used to measure insulation resistance in transformers, cables and electrical equipment, and in high-voltage power, telecommunications, meteorology and oil field installations. It stores 999 sets and transfers them to a PC over USB; it runs on a 14.8 V 5200 mAh lithium battery pack and is rated EN 61010-1 and CAT IV 600 V. It weighs about 7.4 kg.
