Gland Plugs
A gland plug is a protective plug that is fitted into the cable entry of a watertight gland that has been installed in an enclosure but has no cable run through it yet, preventing dust from entering through the gland. It is used to keep the entry closed until the cable is fitted, on spare glands and at enclosure, box and machine entries where the cable will be run later. When the cable is to be run, the plug is removed and the same gland continues to be used.
