YSLY Control Cables

The YSLY cable is an unshielded, flexible control cable with fine-stranded copper conductors, whose PVC-insulated numbered cores are bundled under a PVC outer sheath. It is used in control, measurement and signal circuits between panel and machine, and in fixed or limited-movement connections in machine tools, conveyors, assembly and production lines. In this category, the YSLY-JZ and YSLY-OZ types are sold by the meter from Birtaş (BIRTFLEX 552), Mekas, Reçber and Erse (ERFLEX 130-Y) in core counts and cross-sections such as 2x0.50 mm², 4x4 mm², 10x1 mm², 16x1 mm², 25x1.5 mm² and 50x1.5 mm². Choose the number of cores according to the circuit diagram and the need for spare cores, the cross-section according to load current and line length, and the JZ or OZ construction according to whether a protective conductor is required. Cables with the JZ code have a yellow-green protective conductor alongside the numbered cores; those with the OZ code do not. YSLY is an unshielded cable; it is not a substitute for the shielded YSLCY cable around frequency converters or on interference-sensitive signal lines.

How to choose YSLY Control Cables

The YSLY cable is an unshielded, flexible control cable with fine-stranded copper conductors, whose PVC-insulated numbered cores are bundled under a PVC outer sheath. It is used in control, measurement and signal circuits between panel and machine, and in fixed or limited-movement connections in machine tools, conveyors, assembly and production lines.

  • Clarify the circuit duty first: power distribution, control, fire safety, Ethernet or analog signal.
  • Compare conductor cross-section, core count, insulation and shielding against the installation route.
  • Switch to the proper cable family early when flex duty, oil resistance, halogen-free jacket or fire integrity is required.
