CEE Angled Panel Sockets
A CEE angled panel socket is a CEE standard socket, also known as an angled machine socket, mounted by its flange on a panel or machine surface, with the socket opening angled downward. It is used in construction site panels, socket panels and machine housings; thanks to the angled housing, the cable of the inserted plug points downward and the plug protrudes less in front of the panel. This category includes Bemis, TP Elektrik, PCE and Bals sockets at 16 A, 32 A, 63 A and 125 A currents, with three, four and five contacts, in IP44 and IP67 ratings; the 45° angled Bemis series and types with pilot contacts and black housings are also available. Select the socket according to the rated current, number of contacts, clock position, IP rating and flange size; match the panel cutout to the flange size in the product drawing. In high-current plugs and sockets, the pilot contact is an auxiliary contact that closes after the power contacts and opens before them, and it is used in electrical interlock circuits. An angled panel socket must not be confused with a straight panel socket, whose socket opening stands perpendicular to the surface: the two types differ in the direction of plug insertion and the clearance required in front of the panel.
