How to choose Thermal Cameras

A thermal camera is a non-contact measuring device that detects the infrared radiation emitted by objects and shows the surface temperature distribution as a thermal image. It is used to detect loose connections and overloaded conductors in electrical enclosures, motor and bearing overheating, and heat loss in buildings.

• Identify the measurement or fastening task and the required insulation safety rating.
• Select jaw profile, cross-section range and accessories for the conductor or fastener standard.
• Check CAT voltage category and replacement tip or die availability for field conditions.
