How to choose Device Labels
Molwex products include vinyl labels from 5x12 mm to 14x50 mm, adhesive tape labels in 9 mm and 12 mm widths with 7.5 m rolls, and white and yellow colors. Vinyl labels have a thickness of 0.1 mm and an operating temperature range of -20 to +70 °C. Yellow and white colors help visually separate circuit or device groups in the panel. The adhesive label is applied directly to the device housing, while the tape label is supplied as a 7.5 m roll. The label surface must be clean and dry.
Frequently asked questions
What are Device Labels and where are they used?
Device labels are marking materials stuck on or next to devices such as switches, contactors and relays inside a panel to show device information. They are used in electrical panels so that devices can be identified quickly during maintenance and fault finding.
What should I compare when choosing Device Labels?
When choosing a label, compare the size, the color and whether it is the adhesive or the in-panel type.
What should Device Labels not be confused with and how do they differ from similar products?
Device labels do not replace cable labels fitted on cables or heat-shrink sleeves, and they should not be confused with cable marking products.
