How to choose Protective Covers
Both covers are gray, and the terminal block code should be matched with the cover code when buying. The cover has no connection function on its own; it is a protective part added on top of an existing terminal block. It is used to reduce the risk of accidentally touching live parts in a panel. Stating the terminal block code in the order note prevents a wrong match. An end plate closes the terminal block row from the side, while a cover closes the connection point from above.
Frequently asked questions
What are Protective Covers and where are they used?
A terminal block protective cover is an auxiliary part that covers the connection points of screw power terminal blocks and provides protection against contact and dust. It is fitted in distribution and power panels so that the connection screws of large cross-section TBB series terminal blocks are not left exposed.
What should I compare when choosing Protective Covers?
The cover must be chosen according to the terminal block type, because the TBLOC C-TBB 240 cover is used with the TBB 240 terminal block, and the C-TBB 70-95-150 cover with the TBB 70, TBB 95 and TBB 150 terminal blocks.
What should Protective Covers not be confused with and how do they differ from similar products?
These covers are not suitable for terminal blocks of series other than TBB and should not be confused with end plates.
