Prysmian YXC7V-R / YE3SV / 2XSY 1x70/16 mm2 is a single-core 20.3/35 kV medium voltage power cable with a 70 mm² stranded copper conductor, 16 mm² copper wire screen, PROTOTHEN®-X (XLPE) insulation and a red PVC outer sheath. It is produced according to TSE K 204 and based on IEC 60502-2, with inner and outer semi-conductive layers on conductor and insulation. Approximate overall diameter is 36.4 mm, net weight 1701 kg/km, conductor DC resistance at 20 °C 0.268 Ω/km and operating capacitance 0.137 µF/km. Current carrying capacity is 304 A flat / 274 A trefoil in ground and 350 A flat / 299 A trefoil in air. Maximum operating temperature is 90 °C and short-circuit temperature 250 °C. It is used to feed urban and industrial areas with high short-circuit levels, outdoors, in cable ducts, indoors and underground.
